With more than 25 years of experience in the field of haute cuisine, The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College has gathered national recognition for its innovative approach towards education since its inception in 1974. Located in Philadelphia, PA, The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College takes pride in offering its students a real life, interactive educational experience. Its campus includes four different themed restaurants, library, computer labs and multi-media enhanced lecture halls. More than 800 students join the ranks of successful Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College graduates every year. The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT).


The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College offers four major areas for students to choose from for their major: hotel management (that includes a management tour of Walt Disney World, central Florida resorts and a cruise to the Bahamas), pastry arts (including a gastronomic Tour of France), culinary arts (also includes the gastronomic Tour of France), and restaurant management (also includes a tour of Walt Disney World, central Florida resorts and a cruise to the Bahamas). All these programs offer the possibility of Associate of Science (AOS) and/or Bachelor of Science (BS) degrees. Additionally, students participate in resume building internships (among many other activities), which have led to a placement rate of 96% for the school’s graduates.


Only two things are necessary to apply at The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College: a high school diploma (or its equivalent) and the desire to embark in a career in the hospitality or culinary fields. While an interview with an admissions representative is recommended, it is not required, since prospective students can apply for admission online. The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College offers the possibility to apply for financial aid (by contacting a school representative) and/or academic excellence scholarships to its students.
