Laurel Business Institute was founded in Uniontown, Pennsylvania in 1985. It was created as a consequence of the struggle to satisfy the demands of the job market. At the beginning, it was situated on the 8

floor of the old Gallatin Bank building. In 1991, it bought its first building. It was situated on Penn Street, which was owned by the West Penn Railways Company and the West Penn Power. In 1999 it bought its second building on the corner of Beeson and Penn Boulevard and was owned by the Roebuck and Sears. Its main objective is to offer high quality career training and to assist in the development of the skills, talent and knowledge of the student. Each of Laurel Business Institute’s programs is planned with this objective in mind. The programs are improved depending of how the requirements of the industry evolve.
All of Laurel Business Institute is planned to be a personalized approach. It has small class sizes, a staff and faculty ready to assist the student in every problem. All the courses are centered on practical and interactive education. Laurel Business Institute also offers guidance on internships, assistance on job position and keeps the student updated of every part-time job.
