The Refrigeration School
Founded in 1965, The Refrigeration School is located in Phoenix, AZ, to satisfy a growing necessity for highly trained individuals in air conditioning and refrigeration. An enterprise born from family experience in the area, The Refrigeration School has proven over the course of the years its commitment towards providing students with the best possible service. Nowadays, its campus includes two buildings with 21,000 square feet of classroom, lab and support service facilities and a 5,400 square feet outdoor shop area. The Refrigeration School is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT), licensed by the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education and is a member of the Arizona Private School Association.
The Refrigeration School offers the widest possible choice of careers available in the market, including air balance apprentice, HVAC engineer, lead maintenance technician, boiler maintenance, air quality controller, electrical serviceman, electrician, environmental control specialist, water treatment specialist and HVAC designer, among many other possibilities. The duration of the courses at The Refrigeration School, depending of the chosen program, ranges from 3 to 15 months. With a choice of morning, afternoon and evening classes, students at The Refrigeration School receive a Diploma upon graduation (a degree course is also available).
Prospective applicants for The Refrigeration School needn’t worry about the lack of high school diploma or GED certificate: after an initial evaluation, applicants can take the Ability to Benefit Test in order to be accepted at the school. The Refrigeration School offers financial aid, veteran benefits and other benefits to its students (students must contact a school representative to inquire about applicable benefits).
