Founded in 1964 with the mission of providing the students with an exemplary education in the creative arts, the Art Institute of Dallas is a private college for creative professional studies based in a focused and balanced curriculum.

The Art Institute of Dallas offers spacious classrooms and equipped studios, professional skills kitchens and Mac and PC computer labs that support the programs of Advertising Design, Culinary Arts, Digital Media Production, Fashion Design, General Education, Graphic Design, Interactive Media Design, Interior Design, Media Arts & Animation, Restaurant & Catering Management, and Video Production.
Each degree program is offered year- round, on a quarter system, allowing the student to continue to work uninterrupted towards graduation; in addition, the programs are continuously reviewed by faculty and industry professionals to ensure that the institute is meeting the needs of the changing marketplace preparing graduates for entry-level positions in the fields selected.
The admission requirements to start a brilliant career at the Art Institute of Dallas include an interview with an Admission Department representative, to submit an Application for Admission and an Enrollment Agreement, canceling of the application fee and a tuition deposit, likewise, being a high school graduate of GED.
The Art Institute of Dallas participated in federal and financial aid programs for those students who qualify. Federal SEOG, Art Institute Scholarships, Veterans Benefits, Federal Subsidized Stafford Loan, Creative Education Loan and Federal Work Study are some of the programs available.
