The Chubb Institute

For over 30 years now, The Chubb Institute has been providing comprehensive, high quality training programs in the medical and technology fields. Indeed, faced with a serious shortage of individuals qualified to work as computer professionals, companies such as IBM, Johnson & Johnson and UPS turned to The Chubb Institute to assist them in training such workers, since the institute had been doing so since 1970. In 2004, The Chubb Institute was acquired by the High Tech Institute (HTI), hence adding its eight centers to a network of 17 HTI campuses across the U.S.

Together, these two institutions are able to capitalize on a cumulated education experience of more than 65 years, training students for in-demand jobs. With locations in Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia, The Chubb Institute is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT) and the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS), approved by the New Jersey Department of Education and licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Private Licensed Schools, among others.

As stated previously, The Chubb Institute’s programs concentrate in the medical and technological areas, two of the fastest growing fields in today’s job market, awarding its graduates a Diploma. The medical area includes massage therapy, medical administration, medical assistant, medical billing & coding and surgical technologist. The technology area offers computer networking & security and graphic design & animation. Not all programs are available at all locations, but the programs are designed to have duration of less than 13 months.

The admission process at The Chubb Institute requires that all applicants are proficient in English and hold a high school diploma or GED certificate. Applicants must complete an application form and schedule an interview with an admissions representative and finally pass an admission evaluation. Once enrolled, students can apply for financial aid, which can be given through federal or state programs, as well as veteran benefits. The Chubb Institute’s website provides an easy guide for students interested in applying for these benefits.
