National College of Business and Technology was founded in 1886 under the name of National Business College. The intention of founding this college was to create an educational institution able to provide high-quality business education. In spite of the fact that Roanoke, Virginia was selected as its location, the college is intended to serve also the south-eastern part of the United States. Since its inception, National College of Business and Technology has grown a lot and other campuses have also become part of the institution. The two campuses that have been recently added are Knoxville, Tennessee and Dayton and Cincinnati, Ohio in 2003 and 2004, respectively.
