For over twenty years, Central Coast College has trained students successfully. As a private career college, Central Coast College meets the needs of adult students whose main interest is to grow professionally in their preparation for the career of their dreams. Located in Salinas, California, Central Coast College was established in 1983, with only 20 students and 2 people in charge of administration.
Central Coast College understands that some students and their parents may have financial difficulties to cover an entire career due to the high cost of college education; therefore, they have set up a special department called “Our Student Financial Aid Office” where the student can apply for loans, scholarships, and grants. They offer both federal and state financial aid programs for students who qualify.
The mission of Central Coast College is to provide high quality career training that meets the needs of their students and community; indeed, their philosophy is very clear in terms of the purpose of the institution itself and the reason why it was created: because every individual; deserves high quality education, where professionalism and values, as well as outstanding skills are taught, so that the student will be prepared to face the challenges of the job market, which nowadays is very competitive.
The career programs at Central Coast College start every 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the program, and they are 18 to 54 weeks long. This college is nationwide accredited by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training, as well as other medical organizations, besides being a Microsoft Office User Specialist Authorized Testing Center. They have evening classes to fit students’ working schedules.
The programs offered at Central Coast College include: medical assisting, medical biller / coder, accounting, computer office administration, medical administrative assistant, and since 2005, pharmacy technician.
