In 1995 the Art Institute of Phoenix started operations with an original class of 45 students. Today it is a four story building in northwest Phoenix, AZ, that houses over 1200 students. The institute is one member of a 32 Art Institutes network located in major cities throughout the U.S that have been providing higher education for individuals interested in design, media arts, fashion and culinary arts for more than 35 years.
The Art Institute of Phoenix is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS), licensed by the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education, certified by the US. Department of Education and is accredited by the American Culinary Federation (ACF). The careers available at the Art Institute of Phoenix offer its students a wide range of possibilities to choose from. Indeed the programs include advertising (BA degree), art of cooking (Diploma), baking & pastry (Diploma), culinary arts (AOS and BA degrees), digital media production (BA degree), fashion marketing (BA degree), game art & design (BA degree), graphic design (AOS and BA degrees), interactive media design (BA degree), interior design (BA degree), media arts & animation (BA degree), visual & game programming (BA degree), and visual effects & motion (BA degree). Most program’s duration ranges between 3 (Diploma), 7 (AOS) and 12 quarters (BA). A specific career advising program is in place to assist the students in their last 2 quarters with resume writing, interviewing and other job searching techniques.
Application at the Art Institute of Phoenix can be done online by submitting both an application and an enrollment agreement, as well as paying the enrollment fee. The institute offers to its students, among other things, a financial aid program, scholarships, assistance with student housing, student counseling and military benefits.
