HoHokus School of Trade and Technical Sciences-Linden: It’s All about Excellence!

What has been the choice of nearly 10,000 students in 50 years for technical careers in Linden, New Jersey? The answer is very simple: HoHokus School of Trade and Technical Sciences.

Back in the 50’s (1954 to be accurate) it was known as General Technical Institute. Ever since, this school provides a “hands on” instruction in welding to allow the student to learn by doing…for many, the best way of learning!!

In 2005, prestigious A. Eastwick Colleges Inc. bought the General Technical Institute and since this purchase, the school at Linden has gone through many improvements. Among these are the new labs and classrooms, equipment, programs and computerized training plus the already established hands-on training.

Facilities sit on 15,000 square feet where space has been designed for students to practice comfortably and effectively their training on welding. These facilities consist of classrooms with the proper lighting, welding and machine shops with the latest equipment and student cafeteria with lockers. Needless to say, HoHokus supplies all the tools, equipment and materials for students to complete the programs.

These programs offered by the School are:

Building Maintenance Superintendent Program (36 weeks days/72 weeks evenings)
900 hours-61 credits

Manufacturing Technology Diploma Program (36 weeks days/72 weeks evenings)
900 hours-59 credits
