Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences

If you’re into music then you need to check out CRAS (the Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences). CRAS is a highly prestigious school for audio recording, engineer, & production education. There motto is that “people don’t choose a career in audio and music, it chooses them.” In fact they believe it’s why you feel such a strong desire to work with the musicians, engineers, and producers in the audio industry.

CRAS has two locations one being in Tempe, Arizona, and the other in Gilbert, Arizona. Tempe is a clean, beautiful city surrounded by many wondrous natural features like the saguaro cactus and the exotic desert of the Southwest. Tempe has trained musical successes such as The Gin Blossoms, Stevie Nicks, the Refreshments, and the Pistoleros.

The Gilbert Location is in the East Valley of the Phoenix metro area, and the music is a huge part of the lifestyle. Mesa, to the north of Gilbert, is the home of the award-winning band Jimmy Eat World and other successful recording artists including Troy Luccketta, and Alice Cooper.

All of the Conservatory’s students spend 15 at both locations giving the students excellent exposure to many studios, labs, and instructors, increasing the diversity and quality of the education. The studios and labs located on site at the campuses are state of the art giving the students a 100% hands on education.
